Faced with a complex renovation project that was far from their budget and schedule objectives, the leadership at a Boston museum asked PCA360 to take over this project as their Owner’s Project Manager. PCA360 drew on years of experience to quickly identify and solve core problems while committing to the museum’s vision and mission. Restoring a historic estate, the former home of 19th century religious leader Mary Baker Eddy, required careful attention to every detail. The estate’s Main House exterior renovation included the restoration of 66 slate or copper roof planes, 118 windows, 141 doors, and 330 linear feet of copper gutter. The interior renovation included the restoration of 19th century rooms to their original condition. The project also upgraded the estate’s Carriage House and Gate House and substantially improved the estate’s grounds and stone walls.
