Project Summary

As owner’s project managers, PCA360 founders Tom Kerwin & Greg Walsh led the development of this one-of-a-kind interactive facility featuring a full-scale replica of the United States Senate Chamber, exhibit spaces, and a reproduction of Senator Kennedy’s Washington D.C. office. Kerwin & Walsh worked closely from concept to completion with designer Rafael Vinoly and his team to create the Institute next to the JFK Presidential Library. Despite the challenges of the site being on State and Federal land, on a capped landfill, and only a short distance from Boston Harbor, they were successful in getting the project permitted and constructed. A prominent addition to the City of Boston, President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden attended the dedication ceremony.
